We aim to make wines with a clear sense of terroir and character. Less intervention in the vineyard and cellar promotes greater expression of each plot.

LANDCRAFT

ALVARINHO

DOC Vinho Verde Alvarinho, Monção e Melgaço

On the banks of the River Minho is the iconic sub-region of Monção and Melgaço, where the emblematic variety of its name Alvarinho predominates. This wine is born in hillside vineyards, with Southwest exposure and in granitic soils. This terroir is characterized by a temperate Atlantic climate, with high levels of precipitation in winter and spring, during the maturation phase large thermal amplitudes allow the grapes to achieve slow and balanced maturation and with a vibrant and mineral acidity.
The objective of oenology was to respect the grapes as much as possible throughout the winemaking process, minimizing intervention in the cellar in order to maximize the expression of the terroir and particularly of the vineyard.

LANDCRAFT

LOUREIRO

DOC Vinho Verde Vale do Lima

The Lima valley is the birthplace of one of the most iconic grape varieties in the Vinhos Verdes region, named Loureiro. With unique and passionate characteristics, with a strong Atlantic influence, this variety rises to higher levels of freshness, salinity, aroma and flavor. The grapes, coming from a vineyard in clayey-schist soil about 5 km from the sea and another in a granitic soil, provide us with a wine with a delicate texture, an elegant and pronounced acidity and intense aromas of this variety. The entire winemaking process respects the expression of the vines as much as possible. Less intervention maximum expression!

SAUVIGNON BLANC

DOC Bairrada

Sauvignon Blanc is a variety that reflects as much as possible the soil and climate conditions of its origin. This wine is born in a region of clay-limestone soils, close to the sea and a temperate climate with strong Atlantic influence, cool and humid nights with constant breezes. The grapes were harvested early, expressing the more vegetal side of the world-renowned variety. The objective of the oenology was to respect the grapes as much as possible throughout the winemaking process, minimizing the intervention in the cellar to maximize the expression of the terroir and particularly of the vineyard.

LANDCRAFT

MOSCATEL GALEGO

White

Our Landcraft Moscatel Galego Branco is born in Sanfins do Douro, in the village of Cheires. The grapes, from a vineyard on clay-schist soil, were harvested on August 15th, which is essential for preserving the pure aromatic expression of this grape variety, while retaining all the freshness, acidity, seriousness and nobility that are often lacking in wines of this profile. The entire winemaking process respected the expression of the plot as much as possible: pre-fermentation maceration for 12 hours, spontaneous fermentation by indigenous yeasts, the wine aged on its lees until bottling for 9 months.
Less and better intervention to achieve maximum expression!

LENTO

OLD VINES RED WINE

Slowly you go far…

From vineyards over 100 years old, carefully harvested by hand, we obtain a Douro made of precious subtleties. The vinifications take place spontaneously in granite presses and a small part in stainless steel, and wood is not used. We want it to be an honest wine, without extras, that lives from the extraordinary quality of the grapes that are born in the different old vines of our collection, throughout the demarcated Douro region. The macerations are long and delicate.

We want you to feel the Douro from one end to the other, from the lower to the higher elevations, the different solar exposures, the predominance of schist and the many years of legacy that today allow us to make pure, distinct, elegant and full of character wines. Wines that are born in the vineyards, never forgetting the science behind them, the result of processes in which oenological knowledge is synonymous with vigilance and not an alibi for manipulation; elementary to reduce to almost zero the intervention in the cellar, where we just want to feel the beautiful notes that come from the vineyard and leave us dreaming of incredible destinations and places, reminding us that the best comes almost always slowly, at the pace of nature. This is the main mark of this wine: a wine that is born at the right pace, at the pace of the vineyard and of nature that makes it reborn every spring.

LENTO

WHITE WINE

Slowly you go far…

Originating from old vineyards with an average age of 90 years, located over 500 meters in altitude and carefully harvested by hand, our Douro wine is a myriad of delicate subtleties. Poor, sandy, granitic soils contribute to a unique profile, demonstrating unrivalled freshness marked by the vineyard’s high altitude.

The grapes arrive at the winery in 20 kg boxes and are gently pressed. The must is decanted at 8ºC for two to three days. Fermentation is spontaneous by indigenous yeasts. We do not use oak.

Unmasked, we search for a pure expression of the terroir, showcasing minerality, vibrant acidity and freshness. Our aim is to show that the Douro can also produce great white wines. Wines from old vineyards, the legacy of our predecessors, which today allow us to make distinctive wines full of character.Wines that are born in the vineyard. Wines that respect science but use it only where necessary minimising intervention in the winery, staying as true to the vineyard as possible.
